Anna Tsing, a renowned environmental humanities scholar and anthropologist, introduces Feral Atlas, an online toolkit developed by an interdisciplinary team to explore the entangled relationships between humans and nonhumans in shaping our world. Feral Atlas examines how nonhuman agencies disrupt and transform human-made infrastructures in unpredictable ways—what Tsing describes as the "feral" beyond human control. Feral Atlas exemplifies interdisciplinary collaboration, creative storytelling, and innovative pedagogical approaches,  offering SUSHUM great inspiration for new ways of engaging with ecological and cultural sustainability.

Our projects draws inspiration from interdisciplinary approaches that explore human-nonhuman relationships and sustainable practices.

Donna Haraway, a pioneering scholar in environmental humanities and science studies, is known for her interdisciplinary approach to understanding human-nonhuman relations. This clip is an excerpt from a feature film where Haraway discusses “storytelling for earthly survivals,” emphasizing the role of fabulation in shaping how we relate to the living world. Through everyday storytelling, she highlights the interconnectedness of human and nonhuman beings, urging us to rethink our place within these webbed relations. Her insights resonate strongly with SUSHUM, where we explore new ways of narrating and visualizing nonhuman agency.
